Interview with Brig. Gen. Robert Novotny, change of command ceremony at Nellis Air Force Base

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Brig. Gen. Michael Drowley assumed command of the 57th Wing from Brig. Gen. Robert Novotny during a ceremony on Aug. 7.

Drowley most recently served as the Commander of the 355th Fighter Wing at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona.

Novotny has been the 57th Wing commander since June 2018 and will retire after 28 years in the Air Force. 13 Action News was able to speak to him before the change of command ceremony (watch in player above).

Due to current base access restrictions and to support social distancing measures, the ceremony will not be open to base personnel, members of the public or media.
