LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Several days a week, Linda Johnson-Sanders crosses paths with fellow Regional Transportation Commission bus driver Allan Devore, who she calls an angel after what he did three weeks ago.

"I noticed a lady here cooking. She had a meal actually on the ground, cooking. I was like, 'oh my gosh, oh my gosh," said Johnson-Sanders.

Not long after, Johnson-Sanders said the woman was lying on the rocks. The summer heat was still on, temperatures dangerously hot. Her heart went out for the woman. That's when her colleague Devore showed up.

"Allen comes and relieves me," she explained. "He immediately put his bag down and went in his lunch bag and got out a water and was going back out the door."

Allen gave the woman his own water and $20.

"Somebody in need. I felt like they needed some help," said Devore.

Johnson-Sanders snapped a photo of her angel in action. She said the woman appreciated the gesture.

"You could tell it just made her day," said Johnson-Sanders. "Just love. That's what it's all about. That's how we move this city."

Devore said he believes his act of kindness is not rare, that this kind of thing happens every day on the RTC.

"I went back to the bus and teared up. It made you feel good. Kindness goes a long way," he said.

For his selfless action, going out of his way to help someone in need, for making Vegas a better place - Allen Devore is our Vegas Stronger Champion.
