There is new information on the attempt to bring an NHL team to Las Vegas.
We now know the NHL will have a decision on whether or not to grant the city an expansion team by the time the draft rolls around in June.
At the GM meetings in Florida, they also outlined how the expansion draft would work and which players would be eligible for that draft.
Las Vegas and Quebec city are the only two cities in the running for an expansion team.
According to TSN's hockey insider Darren Dreger, he said in a tweet that while a decision hasn't been made yet, but most GM's think there will be one expansion team and that team would be coming to Las Vegas.
Next step in process of expansion is for exec committee to make a recommendation. No expansion..1 team or 2. Most gm's think 1 team. Vegas.
