LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two years worth of knightly gear was up for sale!

The Golden Knights held their first Battle Worn Armor event Sunday afternoon at City National Arena. The event was not open to the public.

Season ticket members, who registered online, had priority access to purchase player-worn gear and team-issued new and used equipment.

Matt Flynn is the manager at the VKG youth hockey development.

He told 13 Action News the event's proceeds will help young athletes learn sportsmanship, integrity on and off the ice, among other values.

"It's equipment that the team already purchased, and they don't currently have a need for it," says Flynn.

Flynn says it's better if the "golden memorabilia" is in the hands of those who are Vegas strong.
