A coalition of advocacy groups gathered at UNLV to remember people affected by the shooting that left at least 49 dead at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

The campus Center for Social Justice hosted the vigil Monday at Houssels House at UNLV.

Care Advocates, UNLV Spectrum and the UNLV UndocuNetwork were among other organizations involved in the event in solidarity with victims, friends and family members affected by the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Authorities say the early Saturday attack at the Pulse nightclub left 49 dead and more than 50 wounded.

Las Vegas City Hall also honored the Orlando shooting victims Monday night by lighting up rainbow.
