UPDATE ON MARCH 05: The Clark County coroner identified the victims of the fatal crash. One was 59-year-old Cathy Ann Marion from North Las Vegas. The other was 60-year-old Kenneth Griffin, whose city of residence is unknown.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Two pedestrians are dead after they were struck by a car near Pecos Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers received a call about a serious crash. Medical personnel arrived and transported a male and a female pedestrian to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
An investigation indicated that a 22-year-old driver of a silver GMC Yukon was traveling southbound on Pecos Road when he left the roadway, striking the pedestrians on the sidewalk. The driver remained at the scene and was not injured in the wreck.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
