People we spoke to on the Las Vegas Strip said the key to making a New Year's resolution is often not to make one unattainable.

"Who keeps their resolution? My new year resolution is not to make one because I know I am not going to keep it," one Las Vegas visitor said.

Also on Tuesday, Life Time Athletic had its fifth annual commitment day to help attendees create a healthier lifestyle.

"We've created an accountability text chain. I have two girlfriends on it, and if anyone of us does not take our three workouts a week, we have to send a picture from our class or the treadmill. If we don't accomplish our three workouts the week then we owe each other some money," a Life Time Athletic member said.

A few tips shared for staying on track in 2019 was getting around the temptation roadblocks, choosing a realistic goal and don't make a long list of resolutions.
