UPDATE: Reno Police Department confirms that the shooter has died.
ORIGINAL: Reno Police Department has shot and taken into custody a suspect who was shooting from a high-rise building in downtown Reno, Nevada.
Police say the male suspect was shooting from an elevated position inside The Montage. There was a female hostage inside of the room at the time of the shooting. She has been removed from the room and is safe.
The call came in around 7:15 p.m. There are no reports of any civilian injuries. This is an on-going investigation.
