LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The man behind the viral Storm Area 51 Facebook event is responding to a complaint filed in Nevada court by his former partner.

Matty Roberts says he is aware of the complaint filed by Connie West, owner of the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel that alleges he and his associates intentionally spread misinformation about her Alienstock event being canceled.

The complaint also claims defamation, trademark infringement and breach of contract, among other issues.

"I read over everything and a lot of it is straight up not true," says Roberts.

"And we have evidence, witnesses and video evidence to prove a lot of that, too. If it does go to court, I'm not worried whatsoever."

A court hearing for the case between west and Roberts has not been set.
