Whether a cone or a crane, it seems like there is always something slowing down traffic at Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard.
While it's been a busy intersection, it's become more difficult as road construction continues. There are lane closures, detours and delayed traffic.
From Decatur Boulevard and Pennwood Avenue to Decatur and Oakey boulevards, there is construction. It's actually two different construction projects. One of them is the city of Las Vegas and the other is through the Clark County Water Reclamation District.
Both projects aim to improve the area's storm drain systems and sewers. The city's work is expected to be complete by March 2016. The Water Reclamation District hopes to finish its project by September 2016.
