Traffic restrictions remain in place at the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road as Las Vegas Valley Water District crews continue repairs on a 16-inch diameter water main that was damaged Monday night.

Las Vegas Valley Water District crews completed repairs and restored water service Tuesday night to customers impacted by the main break.

Two lanes of travel are open on northbound Maryland Parkway through the intersection. However, southbound Maryland Parkway remains closed to through traffic. Travel on Desert Inn is reduced to one lane eastbound and westbound through the intersection.

Lane reductions are likely to remain in effect through Friday. As such, commuters are encouraged to consider alternate routes.

The 16-inch water main was damaged by a contractor working in the intersection. Water District crews will remain on site until repairs are complete.
