Atomic Liquors is hosting its 6th annual Speakasy Party to celebrate Repeal Day at 8 p.m. Dec. 4. Take a step back in time when booze and bars were illegal as the bar transforms into a Prohibition-era speakeasy by boarding up the windows and turning off the lights, giving the illusion that it’s closed to passerby. But inside, the music will be playing and guest bartenders will be slinging special libations created exclusively for the night. Guests are highly encouraged to wear burlesque themed costumes and will need the secret password to enter - "la fée verte" which means the green fairy.

Cornerstone inside Gold Coast hotel-casino will host a Celebrate Repeal Day Cocktail Social at 5 p.m. Dec. 5. The Repeal Day cocktail social will kick off a monthly event. The monthly events will give attendees the opportunity to enjoy a selection of seasonal cocktails paired with small bites/appetizers. Cover for the Dec. 5 social is $45 and will feature spirits from Angel's Envy. Ladies pay half price. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

For the first time, guests can raise their glasses to Repeal Day at The Underground, The Mob Museum’s new Prohibition-history exhibition, on Dec. 5. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day, guests can enjoy unlimited champagne and draft beer for $19.33 -- in honor of the year Prohibition was repealed. From 7 to 11 p.m., there will be an exclisive, separately ticketed celebration. Guests will enjoy tempting hors d’oeuvres, a live jazz band, silent auction featuring numerous valuable items, including a Jaguar XKE previously owned by John Gotti; Prohibition-era costume contest; and access to The Underground’s secret room where a special surprise awaits. Zappos, Johnson Brothers and Jim Beam serve as sponsors of this event. Tickets start at $49.

The special dinner will start with an extended cocktail hour from 6 to 7 p.m. in the lounge featuring live entertainment. Guests will then join Goodman inside the dome overlooking the lights of Fremont Street for a three-course meal of Goodman’s “hit list” of his favorite dishes paired with red and white wines as well as the signature Oscar Goodman Martini. For the first time, the restaurant will be closed to the public to allow more people to attend the special dinner. Cost is $150. Pre-payment required.
