A single story home caught fire at 4411 Newton Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Mt. Vista Street.
Firefighters at the scene spotted flames on the ground floor and in the attic space. Crews worked together to put out the fire within 20 minutes.
Two people were inside the home but were able to escape unharmed. The American Red Cross is assisting two adults and one child to make sure they have clothing and shelter.
No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation. Damage estimates are still being added up.
