Firefighters investigated a possible incident that turned out to be a false alarm at the Plaza hotel-casino Saturday morning.
The fire alarms went off around 4:40 a.m., indicating smoke on the third and fifth floors. When crews arrived, they found no evidence of fire or smoke.
Firefighters believe rain water leaked into the smoke alarms and set them off. Hotel maintenance notified the alarm company about the issue.
There were no injuries or damage reported.
