It's day two of NASCAR Weekend here in Las Vegas and 13 Action News went back to the track for a front row seat to the action!

First-timer Kelly Fitzpatrick came all the way from Chicago for a seat a Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"This is great,” she told 13 Action News. “I've never been to a NASCAR thing like this before! It's so exciting and there's so much going on."

NASCAR fan Dan Wettlaufer says the cars’ speed sends a rush of energy through his body.

"Talk about energy, it's contagious,” he said. “It's phenomenal!”

He drove all the way from Canada.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway spokesman Jeff Motley says traffic coming in wasn't too bad Saturday, but Sunday will definitely be a different story.

"Locals that are coming to the race, you know, leave early,” Motley said. “Come out and tailgate in the parking lot."

Rain and heavy winds are expected on Sunday. They could delay the start of the Kobalt 400 race, but Motley says the forecast is not an issue.

"Most of the weather patterns right now are saying minimal chance of some light showers with heavy winds,” Motley said. “We know with most of our meteorologist, when it's heavy wind, the rain isn't going to last that long because the wind blows it out of there. So, we're looking forward to having a 12:30 p.m. start on the Kobalt 400 tomorrow."
