LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Nevada Supreme Court has denied the Trump campaign's appeal to overturn the results of this year's election in Nevada.
The judge ultimately deciding lawyers for the Trump campaign could not prove the election was decided by voter fraud or illegal votes.
Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford tweeted this statement after the ruling:
The @NevadaAG office met Pres. Trump & surrogates in court a lot. They never once presented sufficient evidence of widespread fraud. Yes, they spouted nonsense in the media. But they NEVER backed it up in court. That’s why they always lost. And that’s why they lost again tonight.— Aaron D. Ford (@AaronDFordNV) December 9, 2020
Nevada GOP tweeted out this statement after the ruling:
We are extremely disappointed in the NV Supreme Court's decision this evening. We were not afforded an opportunity to write our brief or argue the case in front of the Court. Full denial of legitimate due process and appellate rights is truly shocking. https://t.co/krnwzKYOmp— Nevada GOP (@NVGOP) December 9, 2020
