LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with another vehicle Sunday night on Windmill Lane in the south valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash happened around 8:31 p.m. at the intersection with Haven Street, a few blocks east of Las Vegas Boulevard.
According to police, a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 was traveling southbound on South Haven Street at the same time a 2026 Kawasaki Ninja was traveling eastbound on East Windmill Lane.
A crash happened when the Mercedes-Benz failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the Kawasaki's path, and the front of the motorcycle hit the passenger side of the Mercedes-Benz, authorities said.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, and responding emergency personnel declared the rider dead.
The Clark County Coroner has identified the rider as 22-year-old Rashed Al Battikhi.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz remained at the collision scene and was determined to be impaired, police said.
She was then booked into the Clark County Detention Center for crimes related to the collision.
The rider's death marks the 79th traffic-related fatality collision in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Jurisdiction for 2026. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
