A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in his driveway, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
It happened shortly after 8 Monday night outside a home near Rainbow Boulevard and Craig Road. Police do not have a suspect in custody.
Action News spoke with several family members who were home when the gunfire erupted.
They described how they sprang into action to stop the man from bleeding.
Investigators said this was a drive-by shooting. A passenger inside a van opened fire, striking the victim in the shoulder.
It's unclear if the victim was the intended target. Police have not released any further details regarding a motive.
The gunman escaped in a dark or red colored van, according to witnesses.
One family member believes he may have seen the gunman in the area in the past.
Meanwhile neighbor Tammy Artz said it's the third night in a row she's heard gunshots near her house.
"I'm concerned I have a handicap husband," said Artz. "He's got a hospital bed in the living room, if anything happens what am I to do."
