Las Vegas police are investigating a murder near North 10th Street and Harris Avenue. It was reported at 6:51 a.m. Saturday morning.
One person was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head in the backyard of a home on 10th Street. He was identified as 38-year-old Jesse Galvez Valle of Las Vegas.
Although police have not released any official information, there are rumors in the neighborhood that the shooting could have been drug related or it could have been related to an argument over a woman.
Relatives of the man who was shot say that he was a father of five.
Police say that multiple people heard the gunshots, but did not call the police. They say it is becoming a disturbing trend in the valley.
Multiple people told police they saw an older grey Nissan or Toyota pickup leaving the area.
