Officials announced on Thursday morning during a press conference that San Bernarndino suspect was in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism, according to CNN. He was described as being "radicalized" by a spokesperson for the FBI.

A federal law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times that although investigators have not established a clear motive for the shooting yet, they are leaning toward a possible "combination of terrorism and workplace" motivation.

I t was also revealed that all four guns that were used in the mass shooting that killed 14 people were purchased legally and that the black SUV that was used by the suspected shooters was rented.
 

 

Police also revealed that they found 12 pipe bomb devices and hundreds of tools that could be used to make the devices at the couple's home in Redlands, according to the Associated Press. The FBI also found thousands of rounds of ammunition in the home.

Three pipe bombs that had been attached to each other and a remote control device was found at the scene of the shooting.

In addition, it was announced on Thursday morning that the number of those injured increased from 17 to 21.

Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama ordered that U.S. flags be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the shooting. The order affects flags at the White House, public buildings, military installations, U.S. Navy ships, embassies and diplomatic missions.
