UPDATE 1 P.M. SEPT. 15: A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a homeless man Thursday night.

Homicide detectives determined the man killed was in a physical altercation with two other men prior to the shooting. Arriving patrol officers received information at the scene that the two suspects had arrived in a black pickup truck, which was parked in a nearby parking lot.

Officers located a man, later identified as 30-year-old Michael McNair, who matched the description of one of the suspects. As a result of the investigation, McNair was arrested on a first degree murder charge and transported to the Clark County Detention Center.

Two Las Vegas police officers crashed into each other on their way to a homicide investigation.

This happened near North Las Vegas Boulevard and East Owens Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Both officers were on motorcycles. They were less than a mile from the crime scene. One officer broke his arm.

Both officers should be okay.

They were headed to the scene of a shooting death. Police say a homeless man was shot to death.

Detectives think they have the shooter, but they're looking for others who might be involved in the case.
