LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — North Las Vegas is celebrating Juneteenth weeks in advance.
A flag-raising ceremony is planned for Thursday at the North Las Vegas City Hall.
The city council is also considering a resolution that would commemorate Juneteenth as an annual celebration in North Las Vegas.
Juneteenth falls on June 19 and marks the end of slavery.
