Noose found at Resorts World Las Vegas construction site

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Authorities in Las Vegas have been notified and are investigating an incident where a noose was found at the Resorts World construction site.

Construction company W.A. Richardson informed police about the noose located in one of the towers at the site on Las Vegas Boulevard on June 24.

An investigation started immediately, and authorities were told of the situation, according to a Resorts World Las Vegas spokesperson.

Additionally, subcontractors and union partners were informed and advised that every person at the site is expected to cooperate with the investigation to identify the person or persons responsible so that appropriate action can be taken.

The statement obtained by 13 Action News also included the following:

"There is no excuse for symbols or acts of racism and hatred to be present on our site and will not be tolerated. We strive to achieve a diverse workforce and are committed to creating an environment that is inclusive and welcoming for all."

Wednesday's incident comes days after a Black doll was found hanging in South Lake Tahoe and NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace reporting a noose was found in his garage at Talladega Superspeedway.
