According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a Nye County Sheriff motorcycle officer was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of State Routes 372 and 160 in Pahrump around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The male officer was hit while pulling out into traffic from the sidewalk. His lights and sirens were running.
He was transported to the hospital via helicopter with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation.
