NHP identifies man who died in deadly rollover crash on Interstate 15, Sloan

UPDATE NOV. 18: The man who died in a crash on Nov. 17 on Interstate 15 near Sloan has been identified by Nevada Highway Patrol as 18-year-old Kobe Bailey.

Bailey's death marks NHP Southern Command’s 55th deadly crash for 2020. In those 55 crashes, the agency says 61 people have died.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- All lanes are back open on Interstate 15 northbound near Sloan following a deadly rollover crash on Tuesday around 12:30 a.m. involving one car.

Nevada Highway Patrol says the car's tire tread separated and caused the vehicle to cross the I-15 and entered the desert area. It overturned, ejecting a back seat passenger.

Two adults and two minors were inside at the time, NHP says.

An 18 year-old-man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and cause of death will be released by the coroner at a later date.

The other occupants were transported to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
