Las Vegas breaking news for November 7, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for November 7, 2018.

3:15 P.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the 1500 block of Vegas Valley Drive, near Maryland Parkway. Upon arrival, personnel reported smoke and flames showing from the rear and on the roof of a two-story residence. Fire was found on the first story in the rear of the structure. Firefighters made an offensive attack and knocked the fire down at a reported time of 3:32 p.m. Damage has been estimated $150,000. American Red Cross is assisting 3 displaced adults. The fire is under investigation.

7 A.M.

A midair emergency was declared this morning when a Hawaiian Airlines plane reported that it had a stuck flap. It was able to land safely at McCarran International Airport. No injuries reported. 271 people onboard.
