A Nevada man has died after he jumped into the ocean in San Diego to save his dogs.
According to officials, the man was walking on a beach with his dogs and his wife when a wave took the dogs.
Greg Owens went in after the dogs. He was able to save the dogs but then a wave swept him away.
Lifeguards found him. Owens was unresponsive. The lifeguards administered CPR and he was rushed to a hospital where he died.
A high-surf advisory was in place at the time.
