Nevada DUI Strike Team makes 1,000th arrest

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Nevada's DUI Strike Team has made its 1,000th arrest since it launched one year ago.

The team is made up of three Nevada Highway Patrol troopers and five Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers.

In April, the team announced its 500th arrest.

They patrol during hours when drunk drivers are usually on the roads.

The DUI Strike Team launched on Oct. 24, 2018.
