Neighbors upset about graffiti on North Las Vegas middle school

Neighbors in one North Las Vegas neighborhood are fuming about some vulgar graffiti spray painted on a nearby middle school.

Coreena Holmes has lived near Revere and Cheyenne Avenue for the past three years, but for the past three months she’s been looking at graffiti outside her window.

“It would be nice if our whole neighborhood was kept up on," says Holmes.

The graffiti covers the west wall of Marvin M. Sedway Middle School.

"I've looked out and there's been kids climbing up on the roof after this all happened."

Holmes, a busy mom of five, says that she's had no luck talking to the school about getting the graffiti removed.

"They called me and said someone would take care of it and nothing's happened," says Holmes.

13 Action News reached out to the Clark County School District by email and phone to find out what's being done.

CCSD could not provide us any solid answers, but we did find out that someone with the district is investigating the matter, and has made the school's principal aware.

13 Action News will follow up with CCSD to find out when the graffiti will be removed.
