(KTNV) — Pink Hill, North Carolina, resident Ronnie Foster decided to stop off on his way to his final chemotherapy session and purchase a $1 lottery scratcher ticket.
He won a "measly" $5.
He decided, at the last minute, to trade the $5 in for more tickets.
The second ticket had a lot of zeroes.
"I saw all those zeroes and I froze," Foster said.
"I didn't believe it until I gave it to the clerk at the counter to scan. When it showed, 'Go to lottery headquarters,' I started shaking. I couldn't believe it."
