Kasich takes shots at Trump, Cruz campaign style

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — John Kasich is criticizing his opponents' visions for America in a lengthy speech in New York where he is campaigning a week before the state's crucial primary.

Kasich said Tuesday that the path he offers is different to that which "demeans" America's history and "cheapens each of us." Without mentioning Trump or rival Ted Cruz by name, Kasich said politicians are exploiting American fears and dangerously blaming the country's problems on people with a different skin color or religion.

The Ohio governor also promised there's "zero chance" he'd be Donald Trump's running mate should he win the nomination in an interview Tuesday with CBS News.

Trump is expected to win New York's primary, but Kasich is hoping to pick up delegates.
