Garth Brooks has released an upbeat new single that gives fans their first preview of his next album.

"Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance" was released Thursday through Brooks' record label Pearl Records. According to a release on his website, the track is the first single from his upcoming 11th studio album, which is untitled as of now.

The radio-friendly track — which clocks in at just under 3 minutes long — was co-written by Brooks, Victoria Shaw, Kent Blazy, Kim Williams and Steve Dorff. Brooks has previously collaborated with those writers on hit songs like 1989's "If Tomorrow Never Comes" and 1992's "The River."

"In the middle of [writing the song], Kim Williams passed away," Brooks wrote in a release about his co-writer. "I love, love, love this song, but probably my greatest joy is the fact that this is a Kim Williams song."

It's been a busy year for Brooks. He continues a world tour that started in 2014, he launched a SiriusXM radio channel in September and will release a holiday duets record with his wife Trisha Yearwood on Nov. 11. This fall, Brooks also debuted an original song written for college football coverage on CBS.
