The U.S. Food and Drug Administration updated its guidance on dealing with the COVID variants.
The agency plans to adapt COVID-19 vaccines, tests and therapeutics for them.
Dr. Anthony Fauci says there are a number of variants, including new ones evolving within the U.S.
"We ourselves in this country are already facing the variants that are having impact such as the U.K. variant. We have the South African variant in our nation. We're even having the evolution of variants within our own country," said Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The South African variant has now been confirmed in 12 states, including Nevada.
