Just as this year's Black Friday deals started earlier than the actual day, so too have deals for Cyber Monday.
Cyber Monday, a phrase coined by retail website Shop.org, is known as the official start to the online shopping season, following Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
An estimated 135.8 million shoppers are expected to make purchases throughout the holiday weekend, which includes Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, the NRF reports. Nearly 60 percent started holiday shopping by Nov. 10.
In 2014, 133.7 million people shopped in stores and online during the same period.
The NRF reports nearly 78 percent of consumers surveyed said they will shop on Cyber Monday. That is an estimated 183.8 million shoppers.
