National Voter Registration Day was Tuesday, just weeks before early voting begins in Nevada.
The midterm election is Nov. 6 but early voting starts Oct. 20 and continues through Nov. 2. Among the top races in Nevada include the governor's race, U.S. Senate and Question 3.
There is also a voter registration ballot initiative, Question 5, which, if approved, would mean eligible citizens would automatically be registered to vote when they receive certain services from the DMV. Voting no means voter registration would remain the same in Nevada.
More information, including how to register to vote, can be found on the Nevada Secretary of State's website.
