Officials say on July 28 around 1:00 pm, a blue Suzuki MC Racer motorcycle was northbound on North Shore Road north of mile marker 31.
The male rider failed to negotiate a left curve and ran off the roadway to the right and entered the desert terrain. The rider was then ejected off the motorcycle.
The rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The rider was identified as 39-year-old Jody Cordell from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Investigators believe speed played a factor in this crash.
