LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 22-year-old man is dead after a crash in the southwest part of the valley a week ago, Las Vegas police say.

On April 21 officers were notified that Demetrious Murphy of Henderson died from injuries sustained in a crash on April 14.

Police say Murphy was riding a motorcycle, traveling westbound on West Warm Springs Road approaching the intersection with South Cimarron Road, shortly after 11 a.m. when the crash occurred.

He was transported to St. Rose Dominican San Martin Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said at the time.

His death is the 30th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2020.

This crash remains under investigation.
