A valley mother is desperately calling in the Las Vegas community for answers in the murder of her son.
On Thursday, Karen Brill announced a $100,000 reward for the person who comes forward with information that leads to the conviction of the shooter.
Karen lost her 16-year-old son, Aric, in 2009 at a house party near Charleston and Hollywood Boulevards.
Police say gang-members were waiting outside of house to rob the party guests. Aric was robbed and gunned down. She held a press conference today in front of that house where it happened.
"This ruined our lives and there is no moving,” she told the public. “Knowing that the shooter is off the streets will bring some relief and only then will we start to heal."
Karen says some of the gang-members involved could be fathers now and may feel her sorrow.
"Some of you may have children now, and I hope you can imagine our pain and loss,” she said.
To raise the reward money, she will sell her home.
"The day after the person is convicted, we are putting our house up for sale,” she promised. “At closing, we will have a certified check of $100,000.
If the person who comes forward has a criminal history, she hopes they will use the money to turn their life around.
