McCarran International Airport is expected to be especially busy Wednesday leading into the Thanksgiving holiday.

There might be some turbulence in the air due to high winds.

Delays are also possible for anyone traveling so McCarran advises paying attention to its website for any changes.

Quite a few people are driving as well due to low gas prices in most parts of the country.

According to AAA, more than 47 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles for the holiday and airlines are expecting 65,000 more passengers each day than last year.

Las Vegas will be expecting more visitors and travelers after the Thanksgiving holiday as well.

"In the next week or two we're expecting a NASCAR event here in town," said Christine Crews, McCarran Airport spokeswoman. "We're expecting NFR, the National Finals Rodeo, and then we'll move on into New Year's Eve with are all big, big destination specific travel times here in Las Vegas so that's really when we see our peak crowds coming through."

A big problem you could run into today is parking. Garages tend to fill up at peak times, but you can call 702-261-5122 for up to date information on availability.
