LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman made two big announcements Tuesday morning.
First, she is running for a third and final term. Second, she has Stage 2A cancer in her right breast.
Goodman made the announcement during a press conference.

Goodman told those gathered that she is "completely healthy" and can continue to work effectively as the mayor of Las Vegas during treatment.
The mayor received the diagnosis on Jan. 16 after her routine annual exam.
The primary election will take place on April 2 and the general election will be June 11.
