Democratic senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto is backing away from embattled Las Vegas city councilman Ricki Barlow, who is under an FBI investigation.
Masto's campaign said she donated a $1,000 contribution from Barlow to charity and is removing his name from a list of prominent African-American supporters.
The donation was made Wednesday to the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence.
The FBI's Public Corruption Squad is leading the investigation and looking into Barlow's campaign contributions.
