19-year-old Janel Zachary, a fugitive wanted in Louisiana by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was arrested this morning in Las Vegas by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
A warrant was issued charging Zachary with attempted first degree murder (5 counts), armed robbery/use of a firearm, attempted armed robbery/use of a firearm, aggravated battery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The charges stem from an incident in which Zachary is allegedly connected to an armed robbery that occurred in October of 2015.
U.S. Marshals developed information that Zachary fled to Las Vegas and she was arrested in the vicinity of East Desert Inn Road and South Hollywood Boulevard.
She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending her extradition to Louisiana.
