While last year's 4/20 was the first one in Nevada where recreational marijuana was legal, this year, it is the first time that recreational sales are available.

As a result, plenty of businesses are running specials and events to celebrate. There are also a few services to make sure people stay safe on the roads.

AAA Tipsy Tow service will start 4:20 p.m. on Friday, April 20, and continue until 4:20 a.m. April 21. To take advantage of the service, drivers, passengers, party hosts, bartenders and/or restaurant managers should call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357) and state that they need a Tipsy Tow. Tipsy Tow provides a free ride home and vehicle tow of up to 10 miles. For mileage beyond this, motorists are charged a standard towing rate. The service does not include roadside assistance. You do not have to be a AAA member to use the service.

Acres Cannabis will launch the Underground, a marijuana farmers market on April 20. Just open on Fridays and Saturdays, consumers will wind their way through a secret tunnel, to enter the Underground, where you will have cultivators and extractors communicate directly with patients and consumers about their products.

Essence Cannabis Dispensary is offering customers specials on flowers, edibles and concentrates at all three Essence Cannabis Dispensary locations, as well as food trucks, free T-shirts and the opportunity to meet with local cultivators.

Customers who spend more than $100 will receive a limited edition 4/20 T-shirt, while supplies last.

On Friday, April 20, new and existing Lyft riders can use the code 'CANNABISLV' for $4.20 off two rides from a Lyft Designated Driver on Demand.

Oasis Cannabis is hosting its first annual April 20 event, “Oasis’s Spring Fling” in the front parking lot of The Downtown Spaces building, from 4:20 to 8 p.m. This free event is open to the public and is co-sponsored by Community Oasis and City Trees.
