LAS VEGAS, NV (KTNV) -- On Monday around 8:16 p.m. police were called to an apartment complex located in the 3200 block of East Flamingo Road to investigate reports of possible gunfire and a man down near an apartment.
Arriving officers located 34-year-old Thomas Alexander Blas lying in the doorway of an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Investigators say several individuals heard a gunshot and saw 4-5 males running from the area after the shot was fired.
The group of men seen running away could only be described as being between 18 and 20 years of age.
This is the 50th homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016.
