A sobriety checkpoint will be held Tuesday night somewhere in the Las Vegas valley.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will focus on both drug and/or alcohol impaired drivers. This checkpoint is supported by the Enforcing Under Age Drinking Laws grant.

The checkpoint will be conducted on Tuesday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. The location selected for the checkpoint will be in the Las Vegas valley on a major roadway that has had 87 events -- drunk drivers and traffic crashes -- and two fatal crashes in the last six months.
