It was a great day to be on the water at Lake Mead National Recreational Area on Memorial Day.
13 Action News sent one of its reporters to the lake to catch up with people having fun on the holiday.
We didn't find quite as many people as expected though.
In years past, Boulder Beach was absolutely packed. Today, there seemed to only be about 200 people enjoying the sun and water.
Of course, that meant that the people who were there had more room to play.
It also means that there was a less chance of someone getting hurt or killed. Although park rangers had to remind a couple of jet skiers to stay away from the swimming area, no incidents had been reported by late afternoon.
