People wanting to help Harvey victims without spending any money are finding a way to do it.

Leaders with the Red Cross of Southern Nevada say wait times for blood donations are ballooning.

A mobile donation center sitting outside an Enterprise Rent-a-Car Thursday took more than 50 donors, and had to turn away walk-ins they were so busy.

It was Jerrell Parrish's first time giving blood.

"I really wanted to do it because you see everything going on on TV [in Houston], and you always wonder what can I do?" Parrish said. "When they said you could donate blood, that was the first thing I thought about."

Keita Williams with the Red Cross wouldn't say how much of the blood will be going to Texas, but the national organization could always call on Southern Nevada.
