UPDATE AUG. 4: The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said it was able to find 87-year-old Gerald Springberg, after he was reported missing.

The LVMPD Missing Persons Detail is asking for the public's assistance in locating Gerald Springberg.
He might possibly be in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance.
Gerald Springberg was last seen on Aug. 3 at approximately 4:20 p.m. near Spring Mountain Road and Rainbow Boulevard.
He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, blue pants, and a brown cowboy hat.
All hospitals are asked to check their registries for the missing person and notify the police immediately.
