FEB. 26 UPDATE: Las Vegas police say the 11-year-old missing girl has been located and is safe. No other details were released.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports an 11-year-old girl is missing in the valley.

Tuesday, LVMPD's Missing Persons Detail asked the public for assistance in locating Teiinie Clavon, who may be in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance.

Clavon was last in contact with on Feb. 18 in Las Vegas, according to police, and was wearing a purple puffy jacket, a lavender shirt with Kermit the Frog on it and light blue jeans. She was last seen in the 6100 block of Boulder Highway.

The 11-year-old was described by authorities as standing 5-feet, 5-inches tall while weighing about 160 pounds with a medium complexion.
