A Las Vegas-based ministry is collecting donations for some of the poorest Mexican villages affected by recent earthquakes.
Adventures in Life Ministry serves people in southern Mexico, including Oaxaca. Executive Director Dave Miller was in Mexico just days before the earthquake it.
Miller said his friends and neighbors in Mexico have noticed price gouging for basic necessities. That's why Adventures in Life Ministry is stepping up to help bring clean, cheap water to those who need it most.
"I talked to our suppliers here and they have these village water filters that will turn 100 gallons a day, 4,000 liters a day, from bad water to good water and you can drink it straight up," Miller said.
Adventures in Life Ministry has raised thousands of dollars through Go Fund Me . Miller plans to head to Mexico to deliver the donations and water next week.
